Is color grading your video project something you should put high priority on?
First, you need to ask yourself what is the purpose of your project? If it is a video you made as a professional service, film, music video, advertisement, etc…, then yes color grading is important.
Color grading and color correction can be incredibly valuable for your video project, as it creates a consistent look and feel to your project. Coloring infuses a mood into the video, so you want to make sure you’re presenting a mood that actually fits your project. Good color grading makes a project look more professional. I believe some people have a good feel for color and mood and some don’t. But regardless, video editing software makes it possible for anyone to do if you are willing to spend the time on it. It can be challenging on projects with multiple filming locations and on projects where different cameras were used. But it’s worth the effort to create something that flows seamlessly together.
